Led by St. John’s Youth Group, this Packing Party brings full-size hygiene essentials to Hartford families who otherwise struggle to afford them. Having already supported 1,000+ community members in years past, these young leaders are building on their momentum.

Join us for Packing Palooza, Dignity Grows Hartford’s annual summer volunteer event bringing together community members to support local families and individuals across Greater Hartford.
Hosted by Hartford HealthCare, volunteers will help pack thousands of totes filled with essential hygiene and period products distributed through schools, shelters, libraries, clinics, food programs, and community organizations throughout the region.
Event Highlights:
• Help pack thousands of hygiene totes for local neighbors
• Volunteer alongside families, students, businesses, and community groups
• Lunch and Blue Chip Creamery ice cream provided for volunteers
• No experience needed, just come ready to jump in and help!
Suggested donation: $30 per volunteer to help provide the products packed during the event

Giving Thanks is Dignity Grows Hartford’s annual community event dedicated to ending Period Poverty and helping neighbors across Greater Hartford access essential period and hygiene products. Hundreds of volunteers will come together to assemble 6,000 Hope In A Bag totes, each providing a one-month supply of products that help recipients care for themselves with dignity and confidence. The totes are distributed directly to neighbors through our network of trusted community partners.
